My Journey (wasn't an easy one)...
For much of my early life, safety and stability were not a given. I carried experiences that shaped me long before I had words for them, and for a long time, survival came more easily than believing I was capable of more.
There was, however, one place where I felt safe. My grandparents’ home was steady, predictable, and grounding, and I spent as much time there as I could. That sense of safety stayed with me. This practice is named in quiet tribute to my grandmother, Anna (Casey), and to the belief that everyone deserves a place where they feel secure, seen, and supported.
Learning to claim authorship of my own life began in a therapy room. Working with an exceptional therapist, I experienced what it felt like to be truly heard, supported, and gently challenged. That experience changed the course of my life. It is why I believe so deeply in this work and in the courage it takes to begin therapy.
Professionally, I bring over ten years of experience working in the community mental health system with children, adolescents, and families through KSSN, Wraparound, and Children’s Crisis Response services. I later worked with adults living with pervasive mental illness before transitioning into outpatient care, with the long-term goal of building a practice rooted in safety, honesty, and respect.
I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University, was a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, and am a proud member of the NAACP and the ACLU. I also volunteer my time speaking in high schools across West Michigan.
Today, I work with people who are thoughtful, capable, and ready to release patterns that no longer fit. My approach is grounded, direct, and deeply human, focused on understanding what shaped you, honoring what helped you survive, and supporting change that feels meaningful, sustainable, and empowering.

Our Philosophy
This is a space rooted in respect, curiosity, and compassion for the full complexity of being human. All identities, backgrounds, beliefs, and lived experiences are welcome here. Therapy is approached collaboratively, with care taken to honor each person’s autonomy, dignity, and right to feel safe and understood. Support is meant to be steady and accessible, especially during seasons of uncertainty or transition. Conversations are held openly, with honesty and mutual respect.

What Makes Us Different
Therapy here isn’t rooted in the idea that therapists have everything figured out, but in the belief that meaningful change happens through honesty, curiosity, and real connection. Support is offered not only for individuals and couples, but also for adult children and adult parents navigating strained relationships, work that is often overlooked and deeply nuanced. Self-guided and personalized programs are also available for those who may be looking for support but are unable to engage in ongoing therapy due to life circumstances.

Ready to Get Started?
If you’re feeling unsure or not quite ready to begin, that’s okay. Reaching out doesn’t require certainty or commitment, it can simply be a way to ask questions or get a better sense of what support might look like. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out before taking that first step. You can always reach out, even if you’re unsure what you’re looking for yet.
